Thelma is not rude! It is her personality and where she came from get over it and enjoy the food!
if you want polite service then don't try to hurry through. Make your order, wait for your number to be called, and just chill. Great atmosphere but if you're on a 30 minute business lunch then call ahead. This place is has a different speed than most, enjoy it
I was considering going to Thelma's b/c my name is also Thelma, but don't want my meal ruined by a rude attitude. Would rather go to Hickory Hollow on Heights. They are friendly there and the food is fantastic. Always good, no matter what your order. The steaks might be small by some standards, but they are delicious; marinaded extremely well. YUMMY!!!!!
Sorry Thelma! You can keep your BBQ and attitude.

I concur....I use to go to Thelma before she relocated...great food terrible attitude. Personally I think one of her customers she was being rude to burned down her original establishment. I havent been to the new establishment...however, when I read this review I new exactly who they were talking about.
Good BBQ, and I loved their potato salad. However, Thelma and the crew need personality transplants. I found Thelma very rude! She acts as though she is doing you a favor. She does not know how to talk to her customers.
