The bathrooms were spotless, the employees were so friendly and not to mention the restaurant inside was immaculate. I would definitely recommend this place to a close friend or even a stranger. I will definitely be returning!
This place has obviously responded to the critics above. The place was spotless and neat. Every employee with whom I came in contact was polite and helpful. The food I had was from the bar (take-out form) and a step way above "fast food". Yes, it did cost a bit more, but, I got what I paid for. I nearly didn't go because of the reviews, but, word of mouth got me here! I will be back. Thanks for a great time!
I went to see "Avatar" on December 24th at noon. I bought 2 IMAX tickets, along with a large popcorn, large drink & small popcorn at the astronomically high prices.
Went to fill my drink & there were no lids. The room where the drinks were filled was a filthy, disaster area.
Went to the theatre I had purchased my ticket for & inside there was a near-riot scene. Turns out the reserved seats were not blocked off, causing people to be kicked out of their seat & there were only a few single seats left. There was supposed to be another IMAX showing at the same time, so we went to look for it. No luck.
We found a helpful employee that knew exactly what to do, wish I had gotten her name. She took us to a 3d screening that was set for an hour later, then refunded our money.
We waited & the movie finally started. This was one of the best movies I have ever seen, unfortunately, this poorly-run cinema had another surprise for us-Just as the final battle in the film was at it's height-The video went out.
This, of course, ruined the movie, as I did not wish to listen to what was happening without seeing it.
When we got back to the ticket booth, we were told that all the movies went out [even though there were only people from our screen angrily waiting on refunds?]. Yet they were still selling tickets. People waiting on refunds began telling people coming in the door the situation and adding to the angry group. I questioned one of the employees & he told me the Manager was on the way in to fix it. [By the way, my daughter and grandson attempted to see a movie here the day before, and after waiting 30 minutes, got her money back and left].
This is inexcusable. Absolutely, the worst experience I have ever had at any theatre in my life.
I was there for this at noon, the top 10? rows were filled with people and employees came and made everyone leave.
I read some of the reviews on this theater when looking for Alice in Wonderland in 3D IMAX. Even though I'm only about 10 minutes from here I nearly drove to 610/I10 for another venue. I'm so glad I didn't! It was the nicest, cleanest and best food in a movie setting I've had in a long, long time. I also wasn't forced to watch trailer after trailer of upcoming features before I was allowed to watch my the show for which I paid. This was a GREAT place. I'll be back!
I've been there 3 times and left with horrible experiences every time. The theatres smell like sickness and not only are the concessions overpriced, they're disgusting. Ask for the nachos, you'll see. There is no between movie cleaning done (only during the night time weekend showtimes) and if you want to experience hygiene at it's worst- visit the drink stations.
It's not necessary for someone to get the H1N1 vaccine, you'll contract it here for sure!
I recently went on line to see what was playing. No information for this particular theater. AMC, Tomball premier 6, The Woodlands all had information at my fingertips, but not the Silverado. I called the telephone number listed, first had to punch this number then wait and enter another number and when I thought at last I was getting somewhere, that particular phone line was temporarily out of service. When you pay that much for a seat, with lousy service on a Friday or Saturday it seems as though you should be able to know ahead of time whats playing. But how???? Is there a hidden secret to get connected to a person or at least see a list of WHAT'S PLAYING?? Where is upper management? Doesn't seem like they care about their facility and the remarks from the public, they should take concern. These comments should make the owners sit up and take notice.
Very over-priced. I can go to the older theatre in tomball and watch 4 movies for the price of 1 at Silverado. Now that is just ridiculous.
i was at this theatre when this happened, i polietely asked what the inconvience was and was given 2 free movie passes and my food from the resturraunt which was delicious i might add was comped, maybe you shouldnt be an ass and when fire alarms go off realize its for your own good... douche bag
Dear htown
I think you are not telling the the truth There is no way that the theater gave you two free movie passes and free your food. When the fire alarm sounded any idiot would not have had to ask what the problem was. When I went to get my Imax tickets refunded I also politely asked for two free movie tickets at which time my money was refunded for the Imax period. I have been to the Willowbrook 24 watching a movie when in the beginning the film was out of sinc for several minutes. After it was fixed management came in and said to come to the front after the show and recieve free movie passes. This was for a couple of minutes inconvenience. You must work there or something. As far as what you called me. At least you could spell that right probably use them thats why
Thur July 16 1pm Just went to imax see transformers and the fire alarm sounded and every one had to evacuate. Once outside management did a lousy job of letting everyone know as to what was going on. Finally you were given a choice of your money back or a pass to see the next movie. You would have thought that perhaps a free movie pass or something for your inconvenience. It is a nice movie but after this all I can say is fire the manager.

I have read most of the comments and I do not think people are taking into account our other choices that are close. My family and I enjoy Silverado because we do not have to deal with teenagers fighting, screaming and throwing popcorn that has become the norm at AMC. Though it may get a bit messy on busy nights AMC and Tomball Premiere have been filthy lately. I also agree that it would be great if the staff spent a bit more time on customer service but I am not going to expect too much out of a bunch of teenagers paid minimum wage. The other complaints are regarding the ticket prices. You get what you pay for. Ofcoarse the ticket prices are expensive at a theater of this size with comfortable stadium seeting. The prices are no higher than AMC though. I would have to say that overall it is a good place to bring your family for a movie. Clean, comfortable, no problem finding parking, and fair pricing.
It may seem nice to the customers, but I recommend against ever working there if you can avoid it. You wouldn't believe how poorly that venture ended for me. Let's just say there's a reason they're still understaffed after being open for almost a year.
I'd recommend against eating the food, too, unless it's prepackaged.
The theater is very convenient to my house but that is all. They did a good job with building the theater and it has a wonderful movie theme inside. Numerous times when I have attempted to go to the restaurant we have had to wait at least 10 minutes before seeing out server and then about 20-30 minutes to receive our food. The concession stand is super slow. I had two people in front of me and still had to wait over 10 minutes to get my popcorn. The theaters are very big but not cleaned very often. What few employees they do have appear to be overworked and not very excited about their jobs. I could understand that if they have to work their butts off for very little pay. My family and I have stopped going there and would rather go up to Tomball Premier 6 where it is much cleaner, cheaper and the concession moves a lot faster. Tomball premier 6 may not have stadium seating but it is worth it to avoid horrible customer service. Willowbrook AMC is even a better deal.
