I went to see Coralline and after driving there, getting the ticket, getting a drink and candy and taking a seat in the theatre and watching the previews, a theatre employee came in and said. "I'm sorry. But this movie will not play. We are trying to get it to play but it just won't. So you have to leave this theatre, you can get your money back or see another movie." No other compensation was offered. They seemed to think it was a big favor to either return our money or let us see another movie, but since they took the money for the movie, I believe it would have been a crime of theft if they hadn't returned my money or let me see a movie after all I had paid them for one purpose and that was to see a movie.
When I went to guest services, she just said, Mam, do you want your money back. Of course I said, “yes.” She gave me my money back. I asked her, I had to ask, “I think there should be some other compensation as I paid for my drink and drove here.” She said she can reimburse my drink and she gave me the money. She offered me a guest ticket but then the man who had come into the theatre walked up and said, "Didn’t I give you a guest ticket?" and I said, "no." He hadn’t given me anything just stressed the need for us to leave the theatre. He looked at me in an accusing manner. I left the theatre for two seconds, turned around, and walked back in. I told the lady at the guest service desk that I didn’t like being accused of lying or getting a guest pass when I didn’t. I laid the pass she gave me on the counter and told her she could have that little piece of paper. I didn’t want it because I would never come back here again. I don’t think anyone should have to experience customer service that bad and be so badly inconvenienced and insulted. There are other theatres nearby I and others can go to.
i love this place. the prices everywhere are getting higher, especially at the fountains but Dunvale feels like home. dunvale makes you feel like you are on a date all the time! i think they need to keep up to date with the children selection, well keep them available longer, cater to the children more, and have fresh ideas for them, for example my daughter was so excited to recieve a wallie watch. one thing i do like about the fountains is that they have more choices in food selections. they have the 3 for $3.00 which is great after a big meal and you just want a snack for the movies. dunvale keep up with the GREAT service, clean movie rooms and MOST of ALL KEEP up with the CLEAN BATHROOMS, nothing is worse then going to the bathroom and it be a MESS, so thanks for keeping it clean!
clean bathrooms? They are FILTHY even after the first show of the day. This theater has gone completely ghetto. Nasty people, nasty bathrooms, horrible noisy kids w/parents who just ignore the behavior, people yakking, cell phones ringing...AWFUL AWFUL AWDUL. I'd rather pay to park at Edwards Greenway than go to this disgusting theater.

That's happened to me before and I didn't act nearly as childish as you.

same thing has happened to me. there is only so much they can do if their stuff is not working. it was certainly just childish to whine about how they should have offered you more compensation for a theater not working. they gave you your money back or offered you to see another movie. what more do you want, milk and cookies? big baby.
