Job Description:
Nurse Practitioner - Orthopedics
New position as "First Assistant" to busy Orthopedic Surgeon in a North Dallas suburban hospital setting. Solid experience as a NP in Orthopedics is required. Experience in surgery as a 'first assistant' is strongly preferred. Surgeries are on Tuesdays with direct patient care on other work days. Experience with Hip and knee replacement preferred.
Job duties and responsibilities include:
Demonstrates the ability to learn diverse bodies of knowledge relating to department management and growth of the clinic.
Remains current on rules and regulations of Occupational Medicine services, Department of
Transportation requirements and Workers Compensation regulations.
Increases services with trainings, certifications and other related classes.
Establishes effective working relationships with patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors.
Identifies and remedies through continuous customer satisfaction data and employee involvement.
Works with hospital staff and management to achieve facility goals.
Job requirements include:
Masters Degree required
Must have a current Texas RN and Advanced Nurse Practitioner Texas license
Certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner or
Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
Current BCLS certification.
Previous experience as a Nurse Practitioner strongly preferred.
Salary range $80,000 -$100,000 depending on experience.
